The Cure For Your Day After Christmas Hangover

Welcome to the Day After Christmas.

You're swimming in gifts you wanted, many you didn't, a mountain of crumbled up wrapping paper, oh and if you live in Cranston, too much garbage for only 2 pails to handle. If you're Italian, don't forgot that tray of leftover anisette cookies. Don't know about you, but I hate, loathe and detest anisette cookies.

It's all part of what I like to call the Day After Christmas Hangover -

Caused by too much drinking, too much eating, too much unwrapping and exposure to those annoying or obnoxious members of your family you're usually able to avoid but cannot possibly during major holidays such as this. (Not to mention all the last minute shopping and waiting for UPS and FedEx.)

We know how much hangovers suck, so today, we're giving you the 3 Step PattyJ.com Cure for what ails you:

Blue Sky has an impressive selection of Aveda products, from creams to oils to shampoos. They also have complimentary York Peppermint Patties you can enjoy while getting your spa pedicure on.

1. Stay away from stores, but call and make a spa appointment now.

Either for a massage (The Ocean House Spa or The Spa at the Providence Biltmore) or a mani/pedi (Cosmo Nails in Chapel View). You may be hesitating, but seriously, this is NOT the time to cheap out. It's the time to pamper yourself. And I'm pretty sure you must have some Christmas cash or a gift certificate or two hanging around.

2. I know you drank a little too much alcohol the past two nights, so go grab yourself a coffee and a coconut water.

Coffee is a must for everyone after a night of drinking, whether you're a regular coffee drinker or not. This will cure your headache - I swear. PattyJ Approved Spots for Coffee: Seven Stars,  L'Artisan Cafe, Brewed Awakenings or Cafe International.

Some people say that coconut water isn't the best tasting drink, but I happen to love it and it's super healthy. Besides, absolutely everyone knows alcohol dehydrates you, so do yourself a favor and hydrate ASAP! Coconut water also happens to be full of electrolytes, making it one of the easiest ways to recover after all those vodka martinis.

3. The mall is going to be a mad house with people returning and exchanging stuff from this Christmas and the Christmas before that and the one before that (#InsideJoke)...Take my advice and go to the gym instead.

After all, you need to be in tip top shape for New Year's next week. Don't you want to be able to squeeze yourself into a SEXY Beyonce outfit to ring in 2015? Try something new like Pure Barre in Chapel View or Essence Yoga in Pawtucket Village. I promise you won't regret it!

You can't get the Beyoncé bod and booty by sitting on yours eating cookies and lasagna. Put down that cookie and go sweat !
