Your Fav Store For All Things Beauty Now Has Home Delivery, And It's A Breeze
If you’ve been shying away from in person shopping, I have news!
Sephora locations around Rhode Island have teamed up with Instacart (pretty sure they piloted this partnership in California back in September) and are now offering door to door home delivery of many of your must have beauty, skincare and hair-related lotions, potions, creams, and gadgets.
Whether you’re feeling stressed this election week and are craving an at home spa day or night or you’re running dangerously low on that face or under eye serum and can’t wait the 5 to 7 business days (or more) that go hand in hand with online ordering, you can now click over to Instacart and start shopping with the ease of knowing that they do offer same day, no contact delivery right to your front stoop.
Not to mention the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that your neighborhood Sephora (staffed with people you adore) will be getting credit for the sale.
Now I recently added some Dr. Dennis Gross Triple Correction Eye Serum (not before switching out the cc on the Instacart account I use to order supplies for our house, lest anyone think I’m trying to perpetrate something sketchy involving the household budget) to cart and the entire process was quick and painless.
I mean, you can even tie your order to your Sephora VIB account, that way you get those glorious points to redeem in the future for deluxe samples and other goodies!
An important callout I do want to share with anyone wanting to give this a whirl this week is that there is a charge for Instacart delivery — unless you have the Instacart Express membership which requires that you pay a regular monthly or yearly fee to be part of, so yeah, there’s no getting around an additional cost. Without Express, same day delivery of an order of $35 or more will run you around $3.99. Then there’s tipping, which especially right now with the pandemic, is more important than ever. (Think I tipped the person who delivered my item 20%?) So, when all was said and done, my total ended up being $88.94 which breaks down to:
$69 for the serum
$4.83 sales tax
$1.31 service fee (I have Express, but there’s still no way of getting around some kind of service charge.)
and $13.80 for the tip.
Another great option for those who may be open to doing an in-store pickup, would be to hop on the Sephora app to shop and then go with Pick Up In Store (which also launched recently) at checkout. This way all your items will be set aside for you and all you have to do is pop in, pay, and breeze out with your black and white shopping bag.
