Sure, I can appreciate a fantastic looking piece of cookware from Le Creuset. Apparently, according to an article I found on Delish.com, Marilyn Monroe was a big fan of the line. (I mean, was she cooking up all kinds of classic American dinners like pot roast or chicken pot pie during her ill-fated marriages to DiMaggio and later, Arthur Miller?)

I also love re-watching Julie & Julia, Nora Ephron’s last movie that tells the stories of blogger Julie Powell’s culinary quest to cook all the recipes in Julia Child’s first tome, Mastering the Art of French Cooking — and how Julia herself came to live in France, study cooking, co-author said book, and eventually become a household name.

Actual cooking? Not. So. Much.

The Tuscan White Bean Ravioli from Feast & Fettle’s New (Limited Time Only) F&F Select.

So, when Feast & Fettle, the chef-prepared meal delivery service now located in East Providence, first approachded me a few years ago about a collab, it sounded to me like the ideal online team-up. Full disclosure, since the COVID crisis, I’ve become a full fledged (paying) member and frankly it’s one of the best things I decided to do.

The meals are all made with top shelf (locally sourced whenever possible) ingredients and no contact delivered to our door. Also, most importantly, they’ve given my sister a much needed break from cooking and stressing over WHAT to cook (I handle dish washing and clean up usually) a few nights a week for our Quarantine crew.

Now, this month the folks at Feast have rolled out a little something called F&F Select that truly takes meal prep and delivery to a whole other level. Think of it as a way to bring fine or elevated dining home, especially if, like me, you adore a thoughfully prepared meal but the idea of going into the kitchen to attempt is (at the very least) overwhelming.

The Japanese Charcoal-Grilled Local Asparagus from The F&F Select Menu

Starting this week, Feast members get to choose from a special 3 course menu of superb appetizers, main dishes, and desserts curated by Chef Maggie. (One of the sweets for this week was a Macaron Sampler Box from Ellie’s! I mean, who wouldn’t adore?!?) Just the thing for a Friday date night at home or celebrating the Father’s Day holiday that honestly will be here before we know it.

The fine folks at Feast & Fettle were also kind enough to put together a vegetarian version of their F&F Select for me last Friday and I can and will say that they are making it easier than ever to bring a deluxe and delightful, restaurant-like experience to your kitchen counter, dining room table or back patio.
