The marvelous news is that two of your all time favorite childhood treats — cereal and ice cream — are now being served up from an eye catching shipping crate turned sweet shop right near the Providence Pedestrian Bridge.

After starting with a cart and bike set-up (back in 2019), the couple behind Tizzy K’s have taken a shipping container, and turned it into a whimsical (check out the “Tizzy” mural by RI & Boston based artist Sagie on the back in the photo below) and high energy (I challenge you to find anyone having more fun on the job than co-owner Tess) ice cream hub.

When we were there for their opening weekend (September 11 & !2) and got to the front of the line (the guy in front of us was ECSTATIC about the chocolate Frosted Flakes ice cream he’d ordered, he said the cereal ice cream was essentially a childhood dream come true), the young woman who waited on us immediately offered samples, so we could figure out which flavor we wanted. Gotta love that because it’s NOT an easy thing. Far from it!

Next decision is do you want can a cup, a cone, some pints to take home or all three?

I ordered a cup of their Oreo and it was not only delish but also big enough for two ppl to share. Another plus!

And of course, in the vicinity is the stunning Providence River Pedestrian Bridge (also known as the Michael S. Van Leestan Memorial Bridge), a delightful setting for enjoying this small batch indie ice cream.

For the latest from them, be sure to give them a follow on Insta @TizzyKsCerealIceCream.

As always, if go for ice cream, please tell them you were inspired by THIS post from Patty J and PattyJ.com.
