There's A Cozy New Spot In Jamestown For Books, Sips, And Terrific Events
On Narragansett Avenue
Book and wine lovers in Jamestown have gotta be pretty thrilled these days — because of an emerging and sunny spot in the space formerly occupied by FiSH restaurant.
Yes, friends…I FINALLY checked out Curiosity & Co., open since October 2021, yesterday afternoon, and it’s everything my friend Melissa from In The Rhode said and more! (She messaged me recently, after attending one of their Friday night in-person events, and urged me to get there pronto. As luck would have it, someone else emailed about it yesterday, just as I was heading over.)
This completely refurbished book shop meets wine bar with a gas fireplace, an entirely lovely event space on the 2nd level (available to reserve for baby or wedding showers and other gatherings), and a sweet side patio space will knock your socks off.
Talk about a brand NEW chapter! (Keep scrolling to see my photos.)
It’s paradise for browsers wanting to add to their reading list (the variety is a real treat and I do LOVE that they have a great children’s section) and perhaps indulge in a glass of vino or Irish coffee.
I mean, I can totally see planting myself in one of their comfy chairs with that Wes Anderson coffee table book. (Again, kicking myself for missing out on the filming of Mooonrise Kingdom on “The Rock” back in 2011.)
Another thing I find exciting is their upcoming collaboration with The Village Hearth Bakery & Cafe.
Later this spring, Village Hearth will be taking over the pizza oven and bar area adjacent to the patio and you’ll be able to reserve a table for a delish al fresco meal. (For the record, we are fans of just about everything on the menu at The Village Hearth. I have yet to sample any of their pizza pies, but maybe I’ll get the chance once they unveil this pop-up.)
Definity keep an eye on C&C’s social and site for the latest on THAT as well as the other amazing things they have going on.
Find them at 14 Narragansett Avenue in JT, RI 02835.
As always, if you take a spin over after reading this, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
