We Rode The Bumpers On Ice At Providence's City Center And Wow
Hooray, the bumpers on ice have returned to the Bank Newport City Center in Downtown Providence.
Remember, we were the first in New England to have them back when they premiered during the Winter 2017!
They’re definitely great if you don't skate. (I don't.) If you do, don’t worry. There’s still plenty of room for gliding across the rink and doing your best Peggy Fleming, Dorothy Hamil, Michelle Kwan, or Brian Boitano.
It’s something fun-tastic and exciting to do this month — and during (February) school vacay after the Christmas magic has melted away, the kiddos are bored, and you’re frantically searching for ways to keep everyone entertained.
The hubs and I were there last night and we had the best time. (My husband kept referring to it as marriage therapy, lol.)
If you're going with your friend group, or on a date during the day, you might also want to pop over to Exchange St and Sydney before or after for some hot beverages and a nosh. It's delish experience in a gorgeous space. (I also LOVE Ellie’s on Weybosset Street and Little City Coffee & Kitchen on Mathewson Street.)
So bundle up — hats, gloves, the whole kit and caboodle — and ENJOY!
They will be running up to March 2024, and for convenience sake, I’ve included the daily schedule for the season:
