The Sweet Cranston Cafe For Homemade Soup And Local Ice Cream

See this content in the original post

There’s a darling soup and ice cream shop in Cranston (heyyy, pink-y red interior, gorgeous white counter, and neon sign on the back wall) that opened this last summer, and I suggest popping in for some nice, hot soup this week.

One of my brother’s had been forwarding me email blasts from Lily’s Ladle (bone broth based soup as well as some veggie options that you can get delivered to your door which is fab for those who don’t want to go thru the 20 step process of actually making it at home) for quite a while, including of course the one all about the GRAND OPENING of their charming brick and mortar called Lily’s Soups And Scoops on Broad Street at the beginning of Summer 2023. (That’s how I found out about them originally.)

This place is so darn CUTE and for my fellow Seinfeld fans, the polar opposite of the infamous soup restaurant that Kramer, Jerry, Sheila (aka, Shmoopie; aka, Alexandra Wentworth), George, and Elaine visit in season 7, episode 6.

When the hubs and I were there a while back, their freezer was stocked with a variety of Lily’s sips (beef and chicken bone broth and a tomato based vegan option which had my name all over it, wink) as well as a ton of Warwick Ice Cream. PS — Speaking of which I met the head of Warwick Ice Cream and toured their headquarters last Spring, and was thoroughly impressed. Also, if you haven’t tried their MANGO SORBET, you are missing out.

Whether you want to grab some to-go and order a cone, cup or affogato (espresso poured over ice cream), Lily’s has you covered. I got the Peaches N Cream, and it was beyond delicious.

Also, as I’m writing this, we are expecting snow tomorrow, so why not motor over for some fresh soupie to help ya weather the storm?

I mean, we are still very much in soup season and if (like me) you’re not a dynamo in the kitchen, let them do the heavy lifting when it comes to SOUP MAKING.

Find Lily’s Soups And Scoops at 1850 Broad Street in Cranston, Rhode Island.

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
