RI Restaurant Stories: 15 Things To Order For Breakfast Or Brunch

Since starting this blog a over a year ago, I've been out and about almost every day, meeting people, drinking coffee (although gotta admit I have grown to actually like an occasional cup of tea now and again), and eating countless meals (which I usually post ASAP over on IG - People frigging LOVE food pics...if they're done right. In other words, Chrissy Teigen, aka, Mrs. John Legend, was right! Unless your plate has three distinct colors on it and you have some "good lighting", think twice before snapping.) at restaurants all over the state. With that in mind, here's my super official list of the most outstanding breakfasts (or brunch foods) in the Ocean State:

  1. the Mediterranean Breakfast at Simone's in Warren
  2. Polenta Cakes and Eggs as The Beehive in Bristol
  3. the Aussie Benedict at Meg's Aussie Milk Bar in Newport
  4. the Avocado and Cream Cheese Bagel at White Electric in PVD
  5. the Cornbread, Chili, and Poached Eggs and Hot Cider at Garden Grille in Pawtucket [Sunday brunch menu only]
  6. the Tofu Scramble and a Mimosa at Julian's in PVD
  7. the Veggie Omelet with a side of Apples and Cinnamon at T's in Narragansett or Cranston
  8. the Chicken, Avocado, and Blue Cheese (CAB) Omelet with a side of Potato Cakes at the Classic Cafe in PVD (This ones for all you non-vegetarians out there and it comes courtesy of one of the CNA's who helps take care of my mom.)
  9. the Peanut Butter and Jam Crepe and the French Press Coffee at the Elephant Room in Cranston
  10. the Latte and locally sourced Boiled Egg at The Coffee Depot in Warren
  11. the Latte and Ginger Biscuit at Seven Stars in Riverside and PVD
  12. the Blueberry Pancakes at The Duck & Bunny in PVD
  13. the French Toast or Huevos Rancheros at Kitchen in PVD (People also rave about their 'Big Shot' breakfast which is the French Toast + their slab Bacon, but again, I'm mostly vegetarian these days.)
  14. the Hash Browns and Eggs (and poppyseed toast) at Nick's on Broadway in PVD
  15. the Lobster Benedict (or Croissant and Coffee) at The Cooked Goose in Westerly
