The Store All Your Friends Will Be Talking About After Winter Break

You Deserve A Winter Break

Cheeky comments about the winter weather in RI (Cold AF but a great excuse to maybe throw on those Sorels!) aside, pretty sure many of you will be making the trip down to FLA at some point soon. (Someone needs to come up with something better than snow birds.)

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Boca, and your idea of fun in the sun is shopping at an outdoor mall replete with palm trees and fountains, and a Van Cleef & Arpels, (aka, Mizner Park), then you'll also want to check out a shop called Sugarboo & Co., started by a wife & husband team from Georgia with an eye for curating and design. (I believe the other locations are in their home state and Alabama as well as online and that she's the design talent.)

I'd never heard of it until the other day, but their line of plates were featured on GMA (See top photo.) and immediately grabbed my attention. They also have a sweet selection of paper goods - both art to hang on your wall (The plates might be great for that too.) and stationary (like cards, notepads, with quirky, cute sayings, etc. ).

There's definitely something Anthro and Pottery Barn Kids esque about the whole experience, but there's also an delightful and exciting energy that goes along with discovering a new-ish, emerging store on the rise. (Told ya - get there before all your friends do because I see it branching up to the East Coast in the not too distant future.)

  • A fan of all things cottage, farmhouse or rustic chic (Search any one of those as hashtags over on Insta and you'll see tons of pics that'll make you want to re-do your entire house pronto!)? There's furniture and homegoods like glassware. The kind of stuff that you wish your great aunt or gram had left you because it's all back in style.
  • Browsing with the kiddos in mind? There's everything from onesies and tees with whimsical sayings on them (Sugarboo & Co. are after all self-described "dealers in whimsy", who actually got the company name from nicknames they'd coined for their children.) to vintage-y looking toys and room decor and knick knacks.

Ciao for Now,
