The Shop Where All Your Instagram Decor Dreams Come To Life

A wise person recently said that March 2017 was the new February. And the 'nice weather', when you can *finally* stroll around without a heavy coat or loads of layers weighing you down? So darn close. As a matter of fact, during last Thursday's sneak preview (Was that the sun? OMFG), after a few Peace Train sandwiches at Shayna's in Wickford, we went exploring down the road and around the corner, stumbling on the decor inspo (what the kids are calling it this year) that is My Paris Apartment. You may not be aware of it yet because it's literally off the beaten path, set back behind the Wickford Gourmet Outlet. No matter though because that's changing right this minute as you're scrolling, yes?

Don't know about the Paris reference (If I had a Paris apartment...I did get to visit the Sephora on the Champs Elysees back in the 90's.), but it does have a charming aesthetic, a mix that's part floral design studio (the 2nd floor), part garden & gift shop (on the groud level). All with whimsical touches throughout and this retro rustic feel that is having quite the resurgence online and IRL these days. I, for one, can't get enough of the greenery - plants and vintage glassware - back to all the antiques and treasures. (Photos above.)

So, if you need a break from the fluroscents (some of THE most unflattering lighting out there) and the more homogenized offerings at a certain homewares chain store that I won't name, put on your fav pair of flats (Sneakers are optional and yes, I do loathe the term kicks when people use it to mean sneakers.) and scope out My Paris Apartment and all the other outstanding shopping in The Wick.

Ciao for Now,

Patty J
