There's A Gingerbread House Workshop For Grownups, So Text Your Group To Make Plans
Building gingerbread houses.
Everyone from Blake Lively to Buddy Elf is a fan of this do-it-yourself holiday tradition that dates back to 16th century Germany (and of course there was the story of Hansel and Gretel from those Brothers Grimm that’s been retold at least a gazillion times). Flash forward to now tho and getting into the Christmassy spirit after Thanksgiving is all said and done because Mystic Aquarium is putting an updated spin on cute cookie mini house making with a Gingerbread House Workshop for grownups on Tuesday, Dec 4th from 6 to 9pm.
Even if the closest you’ve come to a pastry bag is using your handbag to take home a cupcake for later from EG’s Silverspoon Bakery, you’ll have a blast. Plan a festive, funtastic night out with your friends (It might be a good idea to include that someone from your group who looks up to Martha Stewart and/or has some cake decorating experience on their res. Jus sayin.) and maybe even your SO (significant other).
You and your crew will get to decorate your own pre-assembled (happy dance right there because assembly can be, shall we say, “challenging”) gingerbread abode whilst sipping on seasonal craft cocktails and enjoying some small bites. An excellent way to catch up with the people you love and have a few laughs before things get really cray crazy with Christmas prep. And imagine the photo possibilities!
For more deets, and info about tickets, go to mysticaquarium.org.
***This post is part of a collaboration with Mystic Aquarium. We’ll see you at the Workshop.
