Some Of The Best Non Beachy Things To Do In This Rhody City This Summer
To beach or not to beach, that is the question...Sure you can absolutely stay in the ac and scroll the Kirby Jenner IG (It's hil-a-rious. Props to Stacey Doyle for calling it to our attention.), but even that gets boring after a while. So get ready to reapply that SPF (Side bar time, you guys: Clean beauty, including suncreeen, is becoming more important by the minute. Case in point, Sephora's new 'Clean At Sephora' campaign that kicked off last month.) and throw on something cool (Both sandals and flip flops are fine...It's way too hot for closed shoes, even if you hate how your toes look.) for these outdoor spots to hit in Warwick this month.
The obvious ones would be Chelo's On The Water or maybe Iggy's (one of our regular contributors is also currently obsessed with the breakfat burrito on the weekend brunch menu at The Shanty), but The Tree House Tavern is a fab spot to meet your besties for al fresco lunch, brunch (Sundays only), or drinks on a Thirsty Thursday night (Last we checked, their drink menu was pretty extensive.). Perfect for those of us who are slightly outdoorsy. Translation being we like to drink outside during the nice weather in the Ocean State, but would never actually attempt anything resembling 'roughing it' away from essentials like hot water and wifi. So, if you're looking for a change of scenery from your usual haunts, with plenty of Insta Worthy character, snag some seats by their fire pit or inside the Rhody rustic Woodshed.
Rocky Point memories? Anyone born before 1975-80 is sure to regal you with 'em! It may be bittersweet for those ppl to walk the current Rocky Point State Park, but truth be told, it's one of the most popular places to take your dog (Seems like everyone has a dog these days, right?) for a walkabout. So yeah, there's that for sure (SPF yourself before you wreck yourself!), but how about Rocky Point Blueberry Farm? It's opening to the public on July 9th, so bookmark it for your post July 4th to-do's. One life hack we really appreciate about blueberry (or strawberry) farms is that you can just forgo the hard labor in the hot sun and buy a carton or three of already picked fresh, local berries to bring back home. After getting someone to snap a photo of you stylishly attired and on the premises of course.
PS - Speaking of which, post coming soon about the next big outdoor photo opp in the OS for July 2018. #StayTuned
