There's A New Lunch Place In PVD, So Make Plans With Your Besties This Month
It's the new restaurant everyone's going to be talking and posting about this month. Very 21st century diner meets stylish, studio-size big city eatery. And you'll want to get there for lunch asap, (again) before word gets out and lines are down the street, something I like to call the PVDonuts effect. Anywho, one of my brothers didn't know about it yet (and he knows just about everyone and everything Providence related), so I told him and now I'm telling you...
It's the Tailor Shop on Broadway in PVD, and yes, it used to be an actual, real life tailor shop (called QF to be exact). The now retro-inspired lunchonette is being brought to you by the same ppl behind Broadway Bistro (right next door) and The Slow Rhode.
I was there yesterday for a quick lunch of fried avocado tacos and a grapefruit soda and was able to snap this photo super quick without looking too much like a smart phone/social media obsessed individual (hopefully...it can be tough to fly under the radar and take pix in smaller spaces...#StruggleStillSoReal).
You can choose from tacos, sandwiches, or bowls. Menus are posted artfully on clipboards high above the counter and open air cooking area. I really like that there are yummy meat-free options for those eating plant based (including me...which leads me to wonder why social media managers continue to tag me in Instagram posts about BBQ but whatevs), but if you're a carnivore, don't stress because there are plentyyy of choices for you. (There are updated menus on IG to peruse in case you want to do some pre-lunchtime prep.)
It's bright, cheery space for a quick, fresh (They literally cook everything in front of you.) lunch or snack. So worth adding to your capital city itinerary for this month and beyond, so hop on the group text and make a plan with all your besties.
