This New Casual Breakfast & Lunch Spot In Kent County Will Have You Texting Your Crew

These days I have my first cuppa coffee of the day at home (current drinking lotsa Allegro’s Breakfast Blend, sometimes mixed with a little of their Cafe La Duena if I’m feeling especially sluggish) and I wouldn’t dream of waiting on line on a weekend morning (What is this…Bungalow 8 circa the early aughts NYC? ) to get a table for brunch.

Recently, however, I found myself dreaming about pancakes (no joke) and so, the hubs and I ended up motoring over to a brand new casual eats spot in the Kent County. If you’re someone who enjoys a fluffy pancake, a made-to-order - and WARM - donut or a classic American sandwich, then you’ll want to keep scrolling. (I mean, I continue to get plenty of people texting or messaging me on social about local food and restaurants, wanting to know where to go for lunch, brunch, birthdays, dinner or drinks.) Also, and this is key right now, this is a spot that hasn’t been overrun with IG food bloggers, not yet anyway.

So, to recap, I had been craving pancakes for weeks and opted for their mini stack of silver dollar sized ones. Tasty and no post cake remorse immediately following (ya know, that over full feeling after having ordered way too much?). The hubs opted for an egg white omlette (marathon training, yada, yada), a grilled English, and the always appealing breakfast potatoes.

The food was so, so good! And the coffee was super fresh. (Is there anything more soul crushing than coffee that’s been sitting for “like” ever?) I took the donut (aka, their 1 Minute Louie) to go, to split with my mom and she couldn’t say enough terrifc things about it.

Now, full disclosure, my sister-in-law manages it, but I wouldn’t be blogging about it, saying word one if I didn’t absolutely love the food and service. Yesss, you will want to get there before everyone, their momma, and their entourage (quite possibly including a Canon wielding photog) starts checking in this season.
