The Emerging Local Artist You Probably Haven't Heard Of...Yet

Quinn and I worked together at Nordstrom Providence Place for quite a few years. I didn’t realize until later, after we had both left the store, that she was an artist. (To say I had no work and outside-of-work life balance back then would be an understatement.)

Her art work is hand made to order and as you’ll soon see, inspired by pop culture, photography, and daily life. In addition, she has expanded to apparel, launching a line of sweatshirts at a holiday pop-up event at The Guild Brewery & Beer Hall in Pawtucket last December.

This past winter Quinn’s work was also featured at the grand opening of Rhody Roots on Main Street in Warren. If you visit the restaurant now (in keeping with Phase 2 of the state’s reopen they are offering not only takeout and al fresco dining but also indoor seating), you’ll see more of her latest art.

Side bar, you might recall that in a previous post my friend Pam from Octovie listed Rhody Roots as one of only a small handful of eateries she’s been getting carryout food from during the pandemic.

You can also find Quinn’s prints, paintings, spin on throw rugs and more in her Etsy shop: Olive the Giant. PS ~ I think her Ladies Of Summer (below) would make an amazing gift for the beach lover in your life! It has a marvelous vintage feel to it that the fashion fan in your crew would definitely appreciate too.

Ladies Of Summer is available, unframed, on her Etsy for $12.
