The New-ish Cafe In Providence's Valley Neighborhood For A Coffee Or Hot Toddy
I was a big fan of the old New Harvest coffee and cocktail bar over at the Arcade, not gonna lie. But the NEW one on Sims Avenue (that opened this past summer) at the Farm Fresh RI Hub really won me over yesterday or should I say, it had me at hello.
Just a WONDERFUL place indoors and out: The exterior has seasonal flowers, seating, and heat lamps (2 things I’m once again on the lookout for ty). The inside is all modern cozy and welcoming with a dynamite menu of coffee and tea drinks as well as traditional and seasonal including a Rosemary & Sage Marg., a Mulled Wine Sangria, and (oh boy) an Apple Cider Hot Toddy. (Keep scrolling to see my photos.)
Also, they do the roasting and coffee lab classes in an adjacent space that’s separated by a glass wall, which means you might be able to catch a glimpse of some behind the scenes stuff whilst you are there.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all the other things happening at that complex right now. You may know that it’s the wintertime location of the Providence Flea, but did you realize Robin Hollow Farm actually has a flower shop there? Or that Tallulah’s Taqueria appears to be opening another outpost right near NH?
Fab reasons, in my humble opinion, to take a ride to Sims Avenue in the Valley neighborhood of Providence.
