The New Bake Shop Window In Warren For Your Next Coffee And Pastry Break

The big foodie “get” this month no doubt will be snaps and check-ins from the brand new Bakeshop @bywater window in Warren.

This place is no flash in the baking pan, however.

First off, prior to their opening last week, there was no bakery whatsoever to speak of in the area, so the locals are pretty thrilled about it.

Second, they are offering up an extensive menu of carryout coffee drinks, pastries, and naturally leavened breads — aka, sourdough loaves and boules — which are supposed to be easier on the digestive system and more nutritious than the traditional white or wheat varieties. (Also, we all know someone who spent last year laser focused on creating the perfect sourdough starter.)

And people are clamoring for more, more, more!

The hubs and I were in Warren on Sunday afternoon and popped over for oat milk hot chocolates, but the tea is that you will want to order in advance online in order to be assured of getting your hands on some of their chocolate chip cookies or croissants.

By the time we got there, they were fresh out. Actually, I heard they sold out of croissants in the first hour.

With warmer weather on the horizon, I can’t think of a better way to spend a morning or afternoon this spring than ordering up some goodies from them and exploring that town on foot with your s.o..
