There's A New Market In Middletown Making Grocery And Coffee Runs More Fun

Coffee, Donuts, Pizza And Sunflowers!

On Sunday afternoon, we motored over to the new Foodlove Market in Middletown and it really is a food enthusiast’s (or enthusiastic foodie’s) paradise.

It’s a cheerful and easily navigated space, no more overwhelm while trying to locate your favorite local eats (Knead Donuts and Seven Stars bread & pastry for example) and the must have’s (produce, nut milk, olive oil, et cetera) on your grocery list.

The folks at Newport Restaurant Group have brought together a carefully edited selection of tippity top quality food (from fresh fruits and veggies to a whole host of prepared options ), drink (yes, there is a coffee bar), seasonal flowers (hello, sunflower szn), and even a wellness section for face and body products (I spotted RI based Farmaesthetics immediately) under one roof.

It reminds me of a fantastic boutique market that you might find in Malibu, Boca or Marblehead.

You can stock up on ingredients for home cooking, choose from a wide variety of ready made snacks and meals (including sushi, poke bowls, soups), or order a few pizza pies to take home or eat out on their terrific side patio. 

We decided to stuck around and grab some lunch items from their Cafe Menu (which also features a breakfast section, bowls, pizzas, wines and beer) at the back counter, which we enjoyed on the patio. 

The hubs opted for the bean tacos and a lemonade. I got their vegan bowl and a cold brew. We loved ❤️ our food and would go back in a heartbeat to try other things on that menu or pick up some sundries.
