The Warren Cafe For Your Next Coffee Or Tea With A Side Of Water Views
Thought I knew Warren pretty well.
There are the classics like Coffee Depot and Delekta’s where last I checked you can still get yourself a nice coffee cabinet. (Nope, I am not talking about a piece of furniture. It’s Rhody slang for a drink made from coffee ice cream, coffee syrup, and milk. When my brothers used to order them during our family vacays on Cape Cod, the waiter or waitress would have no idea what they were talking about.)
Then there’s the newer WAVE of neat places like The Peyton Co. (for all your clean beauty and makeup needs), Federal Hill Pizza (my friend Pam swears by their Nutella pie), the Galactic Theater, and Ink Fish Books.
But what about a certain cafe overlooking the water, one that I had no idea even existed until two or three years ago and has not been overrun by local food bloggers just yet?
From the first photo above I guess it’s pretty clear I’m talking about Cafe Water Street, situated behind Muse (jewelry store).
The Cafe is completely delightful with a comfortable outside set-up where you can plant yourself this month or next — they are open 7 days too, so no stressing over getting there on certain days — and enjoy a hot or cold beverage as well as some satisfying baked goods. (Full Disclosure: I looooooove carbs!)
Last time we were there, I had a corn muffin and a London Fog, an Earl Grey tea latte made with a splash of vanilla and warm milk.
There were also a few people sitting on the patio, reading and working on laptops.
All in all it’s a marvelous spot for your next coffee o’clock or late brekkie with someone in your orbit that you’re been wanting to catch up with.
Find Cafe Water Street by plugging 279 Water Street in Warren, Rhode Island into your gps.
