The Hottest Pizza In Providence That People Are Scrambling To Get Their Hands On
Pizza, everyone’s got some pretty strong opinions.
You can forget about putting your two cents in about these square shaped, deep dish pies that are in high demand this year.
I say THIS because — gasp — loose change (that’s pennies, quarters, what have you) and cash money will do you no good.
Unless you have a mobile pay app (Venmo, which they prefer, Zelle, or PayPal) gassed up and ready to go, you are plum outta luck if you want to TRY to buy one of the thirty (yesss, only 30 a day are up for grabs) pies that the team at Hotline Pizza in Providence cook up 4 days a week.
The pick-up spot is apparently at The Tailor Shop space next door to Broadway Bistro at 211 Broadway in Providence’s West Side neighborhood.
Or maybe not. I mean, not to be cheesy or anything but…that could very well be a smoke screen.
And the two people I know who have beaten the odds and gotten pies won’t share (boo!) any phone pics or inside info with me.
From what I’ve been able to suss out, interested parties should dm the Hotline IG starting at a designated time (12noon last I checked their Instagram) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (again, last I eye-balled their Insta those were the days).
They, in turn, choose the 30 or so lucky pizza lovers to receive a Detroit style pie.
Does this sound like a foodie adventure you and yours would enjoy?
Then, you’ll definitely want to give them a follow, so that you can request a pizza (remember there are no guarantees, don’t wanna see your hopes dashed) when they open that virtual order window, get menu updates, etc.
As always, if you embark on a Hotline Pizza quest (buona fortuna!), let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
