The Darling Pawtucket Diner For Breakfast Food With Your Friends

Okay, I LOVE a classic diner car and if you do too, you’ll want to motor over to the Miss Lorraine Diner (completely refurbished and relocated back in January of 2020) at 560 Mineral Spring in the Lorraine Mills in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Everything looks amazing, and I think David Lynch would approve wholeheartedly: I mean, you almost expect Norma (RIP Peggy Lipton) or Shelly Johnson (Madchen Amick has had a big comeback playing Alice Cooper, Betty’s mom, on the series Riverdale) to come flying out of the kitchen with a glass pot of hot coffee in hand.

The servicers are friendly and on our last visit, the wait person was so on point, especially when it came to making sure my coffee cup was always filled to the brim.

I was also quite pleased to see a Beyond Burger option on the menu because I don’t eat meat.

Popping over for some breakfast or lunch with your pals?

There’s seating inside the actual old time-y railroad dining car, yipeeeee!

In addition, there’s a cozy connecting room (SURPRISE!) with a bar and an Insta Worthy sign on the far wall that reads Miss Lorraine Diner (difficult to capture with a smart phone, just throwing THAT detail out there) that’s part of the main mill building.

Regulars rave about their omelettes, pancakes, the done crispy home fries, and their signature Hungry Man breakfast for those who are ravenous.

They are open Monday thru Saturday from 6am to 2pm and on Sundays from 7am to 2pm. (When they 1st reopened, they were offering dinner and maybe someday that’ll happen again, who knows?)

As always, if you go after reading THIS, please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
