We Had A Delicious Breakfast At This Classic Restaurant In Chepachet
Good Pancakes Make People Happy
Those three little words are magic to my ears!
Of course I’m talking about BREAKFAST ALL DAY.
If you’re looking for traditional American breakfast food six days a week, why not the family owned Gentleman Farmer in Chepachet? (On Fridays, the cutoff is 2pm.)
Locals and those who visit the area on the regular in search of fab antique finds (a friend of mine found a mirror at one of the stores in town that was very Anthropologie-esque for a pretty reasonable price, just saying) love the comfort food based menu to pieces.
Also, who doesn’t heart a well-made pancake at 1 or 2 o’clock in the afternoon?
This old school, diner-style eatery on Putnam Pike was bustling with activity when we popped in on Sunday.
It’s not fancy but rest assured you can tuck into a bottomless cuppa coffee or tea along with more than three dozen different dishes, everything from an egg, homefries, and toast plate to veggie omelettes, French toast, brekkie sandwiches, and PANCAKES. (Let me just say that it’s ALWAYS nice to have options — although a VP I worked with in my Nordstrom days used to say she didn’t trust anyone who used the words ALWAYS and NEVER in response to business related questions. I now want to say to her: “Whaaaaatever!”)
The pancake I wolfed down was VERY good, and the hubs enjoyed his eggs and English muffin. Translation? We would totally go back again for another meal at some point.
Find Gentleman Farmer at 617 Putname Pike in Chepachet, Rhode Island. (PS — Just wondering if it would technically considered Harmony, RI? Also, I never knew there was a Harmony in Lil Rhody until about five or six years ago.)
