We Had Lunch At This Wonderful Restaurant On The Water In Portsmouth, Rhode Island
On Patio Time
The other day, we happened to be in Portsmouth around lunch time and the restaurant we original had our hearts set up wasn’t scheduled to open til 4pm.
Sure, I was disappointed but if that hadn’t happened, we would never have discovered The Gulf Stream.
This super cas (as in casual) eatery situated in the East Passage Yachting Center is a swell spot for a frozen marg or two, lunch with friends, or a double date with your fave people.
First off, you are surrounded by — sigh — gorgeous boats.
When the hubs and I were there the other day, we noticed that a few parties had brought their dogs along to the patio (see photo above) which we love. (Pssst….We’re dog folks for sure and appreciate a 🐶 friendly patio set-up.)
Anywho, what we didn’t know then and only found out later is that they even have a SPECIAL MENU of treats you can order for your 4 legged best friend: I mean, how great is that?
I had one of above mentioned frozen drinks (so nice on a hot May day in Lil Rhody)— and we both thought the food was quite good!
We feasted on some small plates (the pickled veggies and the hush puppies which were a yummy alternative to clam cakes) as well as their signature Caribbean Salad for me and a made-in-house veggie burger for the husband.
We pretty much inhaled everything, so…
Regulars rave about their raw bar, stuffies, run-based drinkies, and IPA (India Pale Ale) selection.
