We Had Sips And Listened To Music At This Lovely New Lounge In Pawtuxet Village

This space on Broad Street in Cranston in the Village neighborhood used to be a hair salon, a candy store, and a fitness studio. (Psssst…A friend also started her yoga studio years ago in a smaller space in the back of that 1st floor.)

Now it’s a lively bar, lounge, and music venue.

The space, inside and out, has been renovated so completely that you would never guess people used to buy penny candy, get their hair bob’ed or do cardio on the premises.

Maybe your friends have already started texting you about it?

Two folks I know were messaging me last week and just knew I had to get over there and fast.

Also, think the hubs and I spotted the owner or manager checking in with customers near the stage last night around 5:30pm and as a former Nordstrom manager (13+ years at the Providence store), gotta say — LOVE that.

This more modern yet welcoming space is hitting all the markers with it’s earlier opening at 4pm (at that age where a 6pm martini and a singer songwriter set before 9 or 10pm so I can get to sleep before 12 midnight sounds perfect) a thoughtfully created drink menu (fellow S&TC fans I ordered their Garden Cosmo and yum), and as a showcase for superbly talented local performers.

Grab a seat at the sleek and gleaming bar or one of the sweet tables or booths. (PS And BTW, I’m also at that age when I want to sit down for any and all LIVE performances, lol.)

We love this spot for a cocktail or two after work, a pre or post din din destination, or as a fun-tastic location for meeting up with old or new friends.
