The Sweet Self-Serve Bakery In Scituate, Rhode Island

Last Sunday At Serenity Sourdough Bakery

My husband is running every street in Rhode Island, and he ran by this terrific micro bakery when he was in Scituate recently.

Located in the Hope neighborhood, this self-serve bakery is called Serenity Sourdough Bakery and has all kinds of breads (we spotted cheddar and cinnamon & sugar the other day), scones (how about pumpkin scones with maple glaze?), muffins (hellooooo, blueberry muffins with crumble topping), and cookies (more about those in a second).

All from sourdough which I love because I hear it’s much easier on the tummy, lol.

Also, someone told me today that they bought the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and they were the best that they’ve ever eaten. Ever.

Someone else just said that their Jalapeño Cheddar Bread is out of this world, too, by the way.

They accept cash or Venmo only, so do prepare accordingly before motoring over.

Since the bakery doesn’t have a site or social, I cannot verify hours but as of right now, I believe they are only open on Sundays. Get there early for best selection.

(Update: I just heard they are open on Saturdays at 12noon and Sundays at 9am and that they actually have a FB page.)

Find Serenity Sourdough Bakeshop at 243 Matteson Road in Scituate, Rhode Island.
