The Darling Porch At This Cumberland Vineyard For Spring Sips With Your Friends

If you’re looking for somewhere new for sips and a nosh with your significant other or your friend group this Spring, the porch at Diamond Hill Vineyards is a splendid spot.

Once you navigate the dirt road that leads to the main house, it’s completely charming in a let’s-sit-on-the-porch-and-wine sorta way.

On one of our first visits, my friend S. and I actually chatted with owner who also presided over our tasting.

While we were sampling some of their most popular wines, she told us that her vineyard is one of the oldest in New England, dating back almost 46-7 years at this point.

She also divulged that they grow the grapes for their Pinot Noir on site, without any chemically based fertilizers or weed and insect killers (which I applaud wholeheartedly).

We have clinked glasses of both their Scarlet Run (a cab that we found out later was named for the owner’s greyhound) and River Valley Run (a chardonnay named after the Blackstone River Bridge) — in case you’re looking for specific recommendations.

Yum: You can also purchase crackers, hummus, and other picky bits to go along with your vino.

It’s an ideal setting for your next afternoon out with your faves this spring or summer in Lil Rhody. (We were there last fall and it was hopping then by the way.)
