The Darling New Restaurant In East Greenwich For Coffee, Breakfast, And Brunch

Opening Weekend at Mimi’s in EG

Mimi’s Cafe on South County (they’re right next door to Gigi’s Scoops) opened this past weekend, and it’s a sweet addition to the brekkie and brunch scene in Lil Rhody.

Let me just say that if you’ve driven by 1855 South County Trail, you already know that this space has had a complete and total makeover — and has never looked better. (Oh boy, what a glow-up, as the kids like to say!)

It was buzzing with customers and employees the other day, and we were greeted and seated right away.

Their menu is chock full of classic am eats like pancakes, omelettes, avo toast, and such.

Tom got the French toast (they also had a Texas toast option for those who live for that version), and I ordered their spinach and mozz omelet.

The portions were generous (no skimpy plates here) and both dishes were thoughtfully prepared and flavorful.

Let me just stress that this light filled and family run eatery is NOT a greasy spoon, lol.

The food is way too good.

It’s a marvelous spot for 2nd breakfast with the family or a brunch meet up with pals.

Don’t sleep on this newbie.

I mean, if you do want to sleep in a bit, they are open until 2pm Wednesday thru Monday (closed on Tuesdays).
