Have you heard about this NEW wife and husband (you may remember him from Eli’s Kitchen in Warren) owned, Portuguese inspired cafe on Hope Street in Bristol?

Located in the space formerly occupied by Angelina’s (coffee shop) and next door to Kate & Co, the cheery Folklore Provisions is destined to become one of your East Bay faves this summer.

The interior is upbeat and sweet, adorned with fresh flowers (we spotted a huge vase of sunflowers in the front window) and family photos.

In addition to hot and cold coffee and tea drinks, and made-in-house baked goods including the blueberry muffins and banana bread we were ogling the other day, Folklore also boasts Portuguese inspired eats like pasteis de nata (custard tarts), chourico and egg sandwiches, queijo fresco (fresh cheese), and salada de polvo (octopus salad).

You can even get Azorean milk for your galao (a Portuguese style coffee made with espresso and steamed milk, usually served in a tall, glass latte cup) if you’d like.

Locals are already raving about their breakfast and lunch offerings, from those muffins and pastries to their sweet bread French toast, portobello mushroom sandwiches, quiches, and burgers.

Kinda makes you wanna get there asap, amirite?
