This RI Stylist Has Insta Worthy Looks For Valentine's With Your Bae Or BFF's & Beyond

We're gearing up for Valentine's Day on my blog The Style Guru with a selection of V-day-themed outfits that you can wear all year-round. I'm all for a classic red dress moment, but sometimes you need to break the rules and switch things up!

This Valentine's day I tried to think outside of the box. I usually spend Valentine's Day with my girls. However, this year I won't be celebrating GALentine's (at least not on February 14th), but instead spending time with my love. However you choose to spend Valentine's Day, always remember you should look and feel your best. Choose an outfit that you're comfortable in and the confidence will shine through.

Here are four different outfit ideas I've put together that won't break the bank. All of the items (or similar) will be linked on my site.

1. This is the hot red dress with a cute twist. I bought this piece from Nasty Gal because of the flirty movement the different layers add. It's flattering for any body type, plus this color looks amazing on everyone! I paired the dress with some classic shoes with a light pink tint, so all eyes are on that spicy little number.

2. I’m absolutely in love with this black-and-white print star dress, however the summer ensemble needed to be dolled up for the holiday! I paired it with this vintage gold belt to bring attention to the waist and add some texture and shine. For shoes, I chose these white boots from Target. The boots bring one’s attention from the top all the way to the bottom of the dress and play up the white star print.

3. This outfit in my opinion is perfect for the GALentine's girls! All pieces are from Zara, another one of my personal favorites. Zara is perfect to get a statement piece or quality wardrobe essentials like these dark denim jeans. These pants are also stretchy, so you can indulge in all of the treats and drinks your little heart desires with the squad. I've paired it with this sweatshirt not only because it's comfy, but also because it has a wow effect with the faux fur sleeves. To top the outfit off, I've worn my flats from ASOS and added a pink shiny clutch from Fiorelli for a pop of color.

4. For the last outfit, I chose to go with another pant/top combo, but this time playing with the layering of a jacket. The baby pink pop of color is kept to a minimum to draw attention to the clean lines of the Forever21 blazer underneath. I've paired the H&M faux fur jacket with these See You Monday pleather leggings to varey the texture. The two allow the combination of black on black to be worn together. The gold accessories and pink heels round out the look to keep the eye captivated.

Already over Valentine's Day but want to talk fashion? No worries! StyleWeek Northeast is gearing up for their Season 14 shows from February 21st - 24th at the Rhode Island Convention Center. This season they are showcasing designers of all magnitudes, including two ProjectRunway alumni, Rhode Island, Boston and New York designers as well as international designers from London and the Dominican. Be sure to grab your tickets through Ticketmaster before they're sold out!
