You & Your BFF's Can Tell Spooky Stories At The Open Mic At This PVD Boutique Hotel

Ghosting.

Not unlike TikTok and wild hair color, all the kids are doing it. (I was listening to this week’s Drink With James podcast and apparently Instagram is planning on rolling out something similar to TT, so at some point soon, we’ll all probably be jumping on the bandwagon.)

Now, admittedly some of those stories, about being ghosted, are pretty scary…

This event coming up in Providence, though, is all about actual ghost stories in the more traditional sense.

And it’s the perfect night out for you and those friends who wait all year for Halloween. (You know, their favorite movie is either Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas or Hocus Pocus. They can’t wait to start decorating for 10-31. And they think most things orange and black are boo-ti-ful.)

Or if you’re just in search of something new and fun-tastic to do on a Thursday night in PVD that doesn’t involve staring at screens and scrolling or some sort of domestic drudgery.

Gather your wicked awesome group together for boos and brews (and snacks) at this Thursday’s mysterious Open Mic on the Terrace (If you haven’t seen this renovated space yet, you’re in for a real TREAT!) at Graduate Providence from 6 to 7:30pm.

Some of the thrills and chills will be courtesy of Stranger Stories PVD and the Providence Ghost Tour. (More about THIS in a second.)

Next, throw in hot apple cider, popcorn, and beer tasting by way of the folks at Beer On Earth. (Got your attention there, didn’t I? Because, well, BEER.)

Finally, you get five minutes in the spotlight to tell your own eerie tale. I mean, we all have one. Whether you grew up in an old house in Providence (Come on…some of those places are legit haunted.) or not.

Yes, that’s where the open mic part comes in. And unlike those embarrassing karaoke turns when you may have tried to channel your best Beyonce or Madonna, this requires no musical talent whatsoever. Just a flair for the dramatic. And an appreciation for AllHallows Eve.
