There's A New Cafe In Tiverton And I Can’t Say Enough Terrific Things About It
If you go anywhere this week, I beg you to make it the brand-y new Groundswell Cafe & Bakery in Tiverton, at the historic Four Corners, across from the famous Gray's Ice Cream!
We were there yesterday afternoon for the grand opening and it is really wonderful — and like nowhere else I’ve come across in Rhode Island during the last 5+ years that I’ve been lifestyle blogging. Quite honestly it looks and feels like an enchanting cafe or coffee house that you might find in a stylish enclave in upstate NY, Kennebunkport, or a coastal town in nearby Mass.
it is a completely fantastic blend of historical and updated, chic and comfy. From the wraparound porch (which fits in nicely with my open air dining plan this year) and small town-esque frontage to the sleek-ish yet still warm and cozy interior, you will be wowed.
Then there is the menu. Whether you’re craving a coffee drink, a tea or a hot chocolate this fall and winter, they’ve got you. In addition, their selection of baked goods yesterday was pretty darn impressive. All sorts of croissants. Italian doughnuts. Cupcakes. You name it! (We had hot drinks and sweets and I just wanna say everything was five star worthy. They even had oat milk for my hot chocolate, another big plus in my book.)
I also noticed that they had pre-made salads and other goodies off to the side of the line leading up to the counter. Let me just say that lunch there on any given day this season sounds dreamy!
They do have a garden shop across the way that I haven’t scoped out yet, but I bet it’s fantastic. (See my photos below which feature the vintage red truck that sits in front of that space.) Once I do, you know I’ll be sharing here and over on social.
